LTL pricing is built from four core factors: weight, dimensions, distance, and freight class (NMFC code). Accessorial services — liftgate, residential delivery, inside delivery, limited-access locations — get added on top. We capture all of those up front so the rate you’re quoted is the rate you pay, with no late-invoice surprises.

Freight class is a standardized rating from the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) system, ranging from class 50 (dense, durable freight) to class 500 (bulky, lightweight, or fragile). Carriers use it to set rates — and misclassification is one of the most common reasons LTL invoices balloon. We get the class right up front using accurate density, stowability, and handling data.

LTL is the right fit for shipments that are too big for parcel but don’t need a full truckload — typically 150 to 15,000 pounds. We handle palletized goods, boxed bulk orders, oversized SKUs, fragile equipment, electronics, machinery, and big-and-bulky DTC products. If it’s heavy, awkward, or oddly shaped, it’s exactly what we’re built for.

Residential and liftgate fees are two of the biggest cost adders in LTL — and where most shippers get burned. We’ve pre-negotiated these surcharges with our carrier partners so DTC brands shipping bulky products to homes don’t get crushed by accessorial costs. They’re built into your rate, not bolted on after the fact.
